ParentVUE, StudentVUE, and Canvas for Parents

ParentVUE is a web portal that allows parents and guardians to access real-time information related to their students.  Parents/guardians can view their child's calendars, attendance, schedules, report card, school information, emergency contacts, course history and grade book information. ParentVUE is also used on an annual basis during the start of each school year to verify student enrollment information. ParentVUE is available in additional languages such as Spanish (Video informativo sobre ParentVue y StudentVue), Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Russian, Japanese and Arabic.

Access to ParentVUE requires a username and password, which parents/guardians set up with an Activation Key code.  Contact your child's school to get your activation key. For more information, please view the ParentVUE flyer (Spanish).

StudentVUE allows students to access near real-time information on assignments and scores, attendance, class schedules, class websites, course history, grade book, report cards and more. StudentVUE also allows for online course requests at participating schools.

Both ParentVUE and StudentVUE can be accessed from any Internet-connected device with a current web browser.  Apps for both iOS and Android smartphones are available.

What is Canvas?

The Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) is used by many middle and high school teachers as an extension to in-class instruction. Teachers using Canvas can post assignments, give feedback, and communicate with students.

What are the benefits of having a Canvas account?

Parents or guardians do not need a Canvas account to monitor student progress. You can continue to use ParentVUE. However, you can create a Canvas account to view more detailed assignment information, view feedback and communicate with the teacher.

Here is a short video from Canvas on how to use:
